School of Health & Social Care

Health and Social care is one of the major public service areas in the UK and also in countries across the world, which is growing significantly. The western world had an aging population, and there is not the same level of family support for elderly citizens that often supplements health and social care services in many overseas countries, leading to an increased reliance on public and private sector health and social care services. The growth in private Care and Nursing Homes in the UK is just one example of this growing trend.
